This is the part of the website where I get to tell you all about me as a person which is always a fun prospect provided I know where to start. I could tell you about my birth in Nova Scotia, as it was very interesting because it was on a Friday the thirteenth while my mother was under hypnosis. It was definitely one of those cases where real life is stranger than fiction. The hypnosis was actually part of a trial project to see if it could be used as an alternative to using drugs for labor pains. My mom was chosen for the fact that she can be hypnotized very easily. It is almost so easy that we have to keep her away from people with pocket watches.
Now that you know a little about my strange birth we should probably focus on how I ended up becoming an author. I had always dreamed of writing a book from about the age that I could first read one. I loved everything about it as it was the one activity where having your head in the clouds was actually encouraged. Daydreaming was my other major pastime as a kid so my head was in the clouds so much I almost think I should get Air Miles.
I started writing young and back then it was pen and paper and a lot of printing. It is actually amusing because I realized that I preferred printing to handwriting because it looked more like the print in books. Due to this, I disliked learning how to handwrite in school and as soon as I was able to I switched back to printing. By the time I was in high school, I'll be willing to bet that I was the fastest printer in the school. The downside to this is that I doubt I could actually handwrite very much of anything without it being a huge mess. I do though handwrite letters that are in my signature rather well.
There were many stories in me that wanted to get out and The Daughter of Man was the first to do so as it was screaming the loudest. There were other stories that were also scampering to get out but some of them actually got worked into Polly Woggins and the Nanobot Nightmare while another of the big ones will show up in the sequel to The Daughter of Man. For fans of my first book, you will have to wait for two Pollywog books to come out before then.
Honestly, there is a lot more to know about me and most of that will come out of my blog as I do like to post a personal story from time to time. I will add some links below to any of my blog posts that are snapshots from my past for your reading convenience.
The Daughter of Man is also available to borrow via Amazon Prime!
