I am currently writing this book and hope to have it completed with ample time for rewrites and editing for an August release. I don't want to reveal a lot about the story because I am still in the writing process and things may change slightly.
I can reveal that most of the story is set in the fictional town of Alexis' Cove, Maine where our title character resides. Polly Woggins, Pollywog to her friends, is a fifteen year old girl trying to cope with high school, social cliques, and boys. Unfortunately, fitting in is going to be the least of Polly's problems as she finds herself caught up in a struggle between two rival spy agencies.
The evil Cygon Corporation is plotting to use Arrow Nanotech to create nanobot enhanced soldiers which they intent to use in an eventual bid to conquer the World. They have a mysterious benefactor who is known only as Mr. X who has a nefarious agenda which includes the death of Polly Woggins. However, standing between them and his niece, as well as World domination, is Todd Woggins and a black ops spy agency known as The Network.
Can Polly survive the assassins with the help of her protector Cheyenne? Will Todd uncover the identity of the mysterious Mr. X and why he wants to kill Polly? Will The Cygon Corporation succeed in their plot and usher in a nanobot nightmare for Polly and her friends?
The title is still tentative and I am hoping to have it released in the Spring of 2013. The story will deal with the ramifications from the first book and apparently there will be zombies, or at least a reimagined version of them.
This will be the sequel to The Daughter of Man and it will be epic in scope just like the first one and the events in it will impact the continuity which includes The Pollywog Files. I am hoping for a summer 2013 release date.
